www.meine-blutspende.ch is a digital service offered to current and future blood donors in Switzerland, which is available to use free of charge and on a voluntary basis.
www.meine-blutspende.ch is a state-of-the-art digital service which helps donors get ready for their donation appointment, and provides further services and information afterwards.
After successfully registering on www.meine-blutspende.ch you can use various online services provided for donors via the platform. While you are actively using these services you will have access to further personal data relating to your blood donations. Even if you have not yet donated blood, you can register on www.meine-blutspende.ch and begin using some services.

Scope of these terms of use
These terms of use set out the rights and obligations of users of www.meine-blutspende.ch. By registering and activating their login, users accept these conditions of use.

Registering and creating a login on www.meine-blutspende.ch
Users create their login on www.meine-blutspende.ch online by registering via www.meine-blutspende.ch or via the Android or iOS apps available from www.meine-blutspende.ch, and entering the necessary details. A valid e-mail address is required for the initial registration and login creation.

Functions
After registration, users can create their login and access www.meine-blutspende.ch to use further functions and services related to blood donation. An overview of the available services and functions can be found via the navigation element "Services". The services offered on www.meine-blutspende.ch are subject to change without notification.
Certain services may require a fully verified login to www.meine-blutspende.ch. For example, some functions can only be used after postal verification, e.g. to see their donation history and sensitive personal health data, users must have a fully verified login. The use of further services may, at any time, become subject to full verification.
The process of registering does not afford users the right to use certain services, nor to use them on an uninterrupted basis. Swiss Transfusion SRC does not guarantee permanent or uninterrupted access to www-meine-blutspende.ch or its related functions.

Responsibility of care
Users play a part in ensuring that their login remains secure. They therefore have a responsibility of care regarding their login. On registration a secure password is to be chosen, which should if possible be used exclusively for logging into www.meine-blutspende.ch. Users also undertake not to share their login credentials with others and to protect them from unauthorized use. It is recommended that users protect their login further by setting up 2-factor authentication using the facility provided.
After logging in, users can manage and update their data or inform their regional blood transfusion service of changes online. Users shall accept all actions carried out via their login as their own. -
User-generated content
In the forum, users can publish content and comment on the content of others. In the interest of all involved, constructive communication is required. Users are only permitted to publish contributions and to make comments if they keep to accepted social norms and, in particular, adhere to the following rules:- Content must not infringe the law. In general, content which is unfair, disrespectful, discriminatory (e.g. sexist or racist) or incites physical or psychological violence is prohibited.
- Content must not infringe the rights of third parties. In particular, content must only be published if the user has the right to use that content, and images of people must only be published with the consent of the person depicted, or with the consent of the parent or guardian for images of young people under the age of 18.
- Commercial content, spam, phishing and malware is prohibited. Links to third-party content which does not adhere to these rules are also prohibited.
- Subjective comments are prohibited, as are assertions which users cannot prove are correct.
Swiss Transfusion SRC has the right, but not the obligation, to manually or automatically check content after it has been published. It can delete content without notification if it breaks one or more of these rules, or for other sufficient reasons. Users are able to delete their forum content (contributions & comments) completely, although content may be retained if it has been reproduced on third-party sites or if its deletion would impede the investigation or pursuit of infringements of these terms of use or of applicable law, or the fulfilment of a legal obligation or the demands of a court of law or an official authority. Further, Swiss Transfusion SRC retains the right to block or delete a login if one or more of these rules is broken.
Creating a login for www.meine-blutspende.ch does not confer on or transfer to users any rights except for the right to use the platform for its intended purpose and in accordance with these terms of use. Any other use is prohibited. Unless stipulated otherwise, these limitations shall also apply to any further online offers for which users with a login for www.meine-blutspende.ch are able to register.

Privacy policy
The processing of personal data in connection with logging into www.meine-blutspende.ch is subject to the Swiss Transfusion SRC privacy policy. The privacy policy describes how personal data, including data related to user login, is handled. The privacy policy can be viewed online and is currently available at www.meine-blutspende.ch/datenschutz. By activating their login, users accept the processing of their data in accordance with the privacy policy.
www.meine-blutspende.ch sends users information and service announcements from their regional blood transfusion service, e.g. in the form of e-mails. By registering with the platform, users agree that such messages can be sent to them electronically. Users can log in and choose not to receive information or adjust what they receive via their settings.

Login deletion or blocking
Users can delete their login online at any time.
A login can be deleted if it has not been used for ten years, if the user is deceased, or in accordance with other provisions of these terms of use. Swiss Transfusion SRC is not obliged to inform users that their login has been blocked, either in advance or at any other time.
If a login is deleted or blocked, the associated personal data for the user is deleted or anonymized. If the login is deleted, the associated services can no longer be used.

Liability
Swiss Transfusion SRC does not accept liability for damages which have not been caused deliberately or by gross negligence, or which arise as a result of login credentials being lost or the login being misused.

Final provisions
In the case of ambiguities or inconsistencies between the German, French, Italian or English versions of these terms of use, the German language version shall prevail.
Swiss Transfusion SRC reserves the right, at any time, to change the login, limit functionality, replace the login with an alternative solution or cease to offer login access. Swiss Transfusion SRC can also change these terms of use at any time. Changes shall be communicated to users and, if the user has not already terminated or deleted their login, shall be deemed to have been accepted as of the first time the user logs in after the communication has been sent, or at the latest one month after the communication has been sent.
The place of performance and sole place of jurisdiction is Liebefeld. Swiss law shall apply to all relations between persons using the login and Swiss Transfusion SRC.
